EXHIBITION OF ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPHY AND TAXIDERMY “UNEXPECTED NATURE RESERVE: THE CHERNOBYL EXCLUSION ZONE IN TERMS OF ZOOLOGIST”

We opened a new thematic exhibition in the exhibition hall on the ground floor of the museum on August 1, 2014. The exhibition of 100 photographs, taxidermist stuffed animals and birds? scientific information blocks, direct speech by specialists, maps of wildlife habitat in the Chernobyl Exclusion zone. Admission is free.

INTERACTIVE MUSEUM ECOLOGICAL LESSON “IN THE WORLD OF ATOMIC NUCLEI” FOR CHILDREN

June 13, 2014.Young visitors grades 1-4 school № 45 Kyiv, which is resting in a summer school camp, were met at the entrance to the museum by Uncle Atom as the guide. He accompanied the children on the journey into the history of Chernobyl disaster, and then communicates with them in a symbolic cooker biological defense nuclear reactor during an interactive museum ecological lesson “In the world of atomic nuclei.” Available in the form of games kids got knowledge about an atom and the structure of the universe, a radioactivity, a nuclear power as part of the energy balance of modern humanity.

SOCIAL AND COMMUNITY ACTION “THANK YOU FOR THE LIFE: CHILDREN OF UKRAINE TO LIQUIDATORS OF THE CHERNOBYL DISASTER”

June 5, 2014. A touching event in support of the Chernobyl liquidators hosted at the Museum.
Pupils of 5 classes of Kiev Lyceum “Leader” decided to write a personal letter of thanks to the heroes – liquidators. The museum has supported this important initiative of young citizens of Ukraine and organized social and community action “Thank you for the life.”

INTERACTIVE MUSEUM ECOLOGICAL LESSON “ENERGY AND SOCIETY” FOR CHILDREN

May 20, 2014. Interactive museum ecological lesson “Energy and Society” takes place in the exposition hall of the museum directly onthe symbolic cooker biological protection of nuclear reactor.

The Researcher of the National Chernobyl Museum – Alexandra Suprunchuk , playingthe role of a nuclear power plant’s operating personnel, holds a lesson for the pupils of the first class of Kyiv’sspecialized school № 3 with the depth study of information technology. Available in the form of games, but from the standpoint of environmental thinking children gained knowledge about energy and the energy prospects of humanity, information on the relationship of the environment with the current state of energy supply in Ukraine.
