A low bow and great honor to the thousands of people who have invested their work, part of their lives to the liquidation of consequences of the Chernobyl disaster

Dedicated to the Day of Honoring the participants of the liquidation of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant

December 14, 2020 the museum created the online exhibition of unique photographic documents about the hellish everyday life of 1986, full of courage, superhuman tension and dedication of thousands of people, whose names are LIQUIDATORS.

The Author of the photos – Mykola VALITSKY – the liquidator of the Chernobyl accident in July-November 1986, a nuclear worker, who was sent to Chernobyl by one of the enterprises – “mailboxes” of the Ministry of Medium Engineering of the USSR. He was a participant and witness of the construction of the Sarcophagus over the destroyed 4th Chernobyl NPP unit, now he is a member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine.

More than 70 exhibits are presented at the exhibition: unique author’s photos, personal documents, Chernobyl relics, which the author carefully preserves for 35 years.
